We consider it our responsibility at the Drum Academy to insure you don't wind up several years down the line realising that you've missed out on some crucial, fundamental facet of drumming, Something that you were completely unaware of. There is no substitute for learning a good technique and learning properly. The years of anguish and disappointment that can be avoided by just learning the right way right from the start can't be over stated.

It is our aim to teach every Drum Academy student all the major techniques and styles, so you can get the maximum fun and fulfilment from playing drums.

We teach all the popular styles of drumming, classical notation, how to count and develop great timing, how to move correctly on the drum kit...in fact, ultimately any mistake has it's origins in either a timing or a movement error.

Teaching a good solid technique doesn't have to be a clinical, monotonous process though. You'll ultimately end up learning the same stuff no matter which point you start from, so we try and fashion the lessons to your individual tastes...that's the beauty of one-to-one tuition.
