Is it essential to have a drum kit before starting lessons? No, not at all. In fact, it’s advisable to start with lessons first before committing to any larger financial outlay. Plus there is the facility to practise at the Drum Academy and drum practise pads are very effective for developing hand to hand techniques at home, especially early on. How much are the lessons and how long?Lessons are charged at £15 per hour. We recommend an hour a week if you can commit to that. Do you have to buy a block booking of lessons? No. Just pay on a week by week basis Is there an age limit? We tend to suggest from about 9 years upwards, purely because of concentration levels and owing to the physical size of the drum kits. There's no upper limit though...you're never to old to start drumming! I'm left handed, is that a problem?Absolutely not. You may still find it easier to play a right handed kit, otherwise we’ll switch the kit round. When are you open for lessons?Any lunchtime during the week, from 4pm onwards week nights and all weekends. |
